- Mar 06, 2010 Only the Russians can answer that question! LOL I bought several in the 1980's and the one I have now was purchased in 1986 IIRC. By chance, yesterday I was looking at a Baikal being sold as a Remington O/U and it's nothing more than an IJ-27E with different cosmetics.
